To empower the next generation of female innovators in Lexington by providing high-quality, research-based STEAM enrichment. Through strategic partnerships and "Vibrant Learning" experiences, we bridge the gap between curiosity and career for underrepresented students.
Vision:
To transform the STEM landscape into a "STEAM Street" where every girl—regardless of zip code—is equipped with the resilience, technical skills, and mentorship needed to lead in Kentucky’s high-demand career pathways.
Strategic Goals:
Pathway Integration: Align every STEAM Street program with the FCPS "Portrait of a Graduate" to ensure students are Future-Ready and Resilient.
Evidence-Based Impact: Utilize nationally recognized curricula (Techbridge Girls & Project Scientist) to move students from "Novice" to "Proficient" in Science and Engineering Practices.
Community Credentialing: Provide students with tangible "Artifacts of Learning" and digital badges that serve as evidence for their Individual Learning Plans (ILP).
Equity in Action: Partner with Title I schools and community centers to ensure specialized STEM mentorship is accessible, inclusive, and culturally relevant.
